BEMER for patients with metal, plastic, or electronic implants

The BEMER has been tested and certified as a Class IIa technical, medical system. This classification includes proof of its effectiveness as well as a risk analysis and guarantees that the minor amounts of energy radiated cannot cause any damage to the human organism.

Some therapies using electromagnetic fields are often not possible when certain contraindications exist, e.g. pregnancy, heart pacemakers, brain pacemakers, insulin pumps and plastic or metal prostheses (heart valve replacements, hip joint endoprostheses). This does not apply to the BEMER - Therapy System due to the extremely low amount of energy that it emits. The electromagnetic fields of the BEMER System are low frequency (30Hz) and its intensity is within the earth's geomagnetic fields (~ 45µT). The intensity is so low that according to the laws of physics it cannot possibly have any relevant effect (e.g. warming or ionisation) on implants in the human organism.

Therapy with electromagnetic fields, as used in the BEMER, is a complex method that generally can regulate the metabolism optimally. Primarily the improvement of the microcirculation, the activation of the 'repair proteins' (HSP 70) and anti-inflammatory enzymes as well as the stimulation of callus building cells all have a positive effect on integrating the implant into the surrounding tissue.

In a user study conducted by physicians under the auspices of the Academy for Bioenergetics, it was demonstrated that in 50% of cases where there was a hip joint prosthesis loosening; the BEMER Therapy was successful in sustainably anchoring it.

     Note - relative contraindications:

The use of the BEMER -Therapy System for patients who have recently had an organ transplant can only be permitted by a physician after considering all possible risks involved. Activating the body's own immune system is undesirable in these cases because the corresponding reaction could lead to a rejection of the organ.

Basically a physician familiar with the BEMER-Therapy should be consulted in cases of infection accompanied by fever, in cases of heart rhythm disturbances (racing of the heart), in cases of large aneurysm (Severity Code 4 and higher), in cases of psychosis and in cases of seizure disorders (e.g. epilepsy).
